Biography
I earned my BA in English from Wake Forest University. After a year on Capitol Hill, and moved to Atlanta and earned my MFA and PhD from Georgia State University. I was hired by Clayton State University in August of 2010.
Education
Teaching Interest
My main areas of interest are in Creative Writing and Composition. However, I would love teaching literature and poetry classes at the survey level and beyond.
Research Interest
I focus mainly on my poetry, though I have written one novel and am working on a second one. I present academic papers focusing on poetry and the craft of writing, as well as thematic papers on the composition classroom. I have written and published three book reviews.
