Biography

Reza Kheirandish is a Professor of Economics and Chair of the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at Clayton State University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Economics from Virginia Tech and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Control Systems) from Sharif University of Technology.
Reza’s research has been published in leading journals, and he has contributed several chapters to two handbooks on behavioral economics. He has actively participated in major conferences and conducted research visits to the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. Previously, he served as Director of CREST at CSU.
He has held leadership roles in professional organization, including SEDSI and SEINFORMS and is currently serving as the Past-President of SAM since July 2025. And has served as program chair or co-chair for eight conferences. He is also a board member of multiple academic organizations and serves on the Editorial Board of the Review of Behavioral Economics. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from SEINFORMS in 2021 and Distinguished Service Award from SEDSI in 2024.
