Biography
An especially notes chamber musician, pianist Michiko Otaki has performed and recorded with such renowned international ensembles as the Graffe String Quartet, Kodály Quartet, Swiss Wind Quintet, and Martinů Quartet, as well as with English violist Roger Chase. Her collaboration with orchestras includes recordings and tours with the Brno Chamber Soloists, Slovak Sinfonietta, Brno Chamber Orchestra, Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic, and Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra both in the U.S. and in Europe. Ms. Otaki has performed at major venues including Washington’s National Gallery, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Cleveland’s Museum of Art, Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and the Chamber Music Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic. Her artistry has been featured at Festival Miami, the Da Camera Society of Los Angeles, the Chicago Chamber Music Society, Princeton University, the Harvard Musical Association, Brno Philharmonic Chamber Music series, and many other chamber music series.
