Biography

Margaret McAlister is a Lecturer of Health Care Management and Internship Coordinator for Health Science and Health Care Management at Clayton State University.She received her Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from Georgia State University in 2017. She also has a Masters in Health Administration and Masters in Business Administration. Her dissertation included Women in entrepreneurship and corporate business: A Qualitative study of first generation businesswomen (Retrieved from ScholarWorks GSU 2017).

Made an effective use of D2L in facilitating lessons regarding Intro to Healthcare Environment, HealthCare Sciences Seminar, Healthcare Science and Healthcare Management Internships, Healthcare Economics, and Intro Primary/Long Term Care. Applied teaching-learning approaches through presentation of videos, PowerPoint, and case studies, as well as coordination of diverse viewpoints.

Research Interest

Currently her research interests include diversity in health care management, a study and comparative health care needs in systems in other countries, and women in entrepreneurship, corporate business, and first generation business women.
