Biography

Metoqua Anderson is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Clayton State University, where she teaches Dental Radiology and supports student development in diagnostic image quality, radiation safety, and clinical decision making. Her work in dental hygiene education emphasizes error recognition and correction, quality assurance, and applying evidence-based principles to real patient scenarios.

Metoqua earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from LSU Dental School and her Master of Business Administration from LSU Shreveport. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Sciences degree.

Teaching Interest

My teaching philosophy focuses on developing competent, compassionate, and critically thinking dental hygiene professionals. I integrate technology, interactive case-based learning, and clinical reasoning to prepare students for real world application. I am especially interested in teaching Dental Radiology emphasizing the connection between evidence-based care and patient advocacy.

Research Interest

My research interests include dental hygiene education, workforce innovation, access to care, and entrepreneurship in healthcare. I am dedicated to fostering diversity and driving innovation within dental hygiene education and practice.
