Biography

Dr. Smiley has been an RN for over 40 years with over half of those years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Family Nurse Practitioner) and 20 years as a nursing educator. Her background is in critical care and serving underserved populations. She is a tenured faculty member in the School of Nursing, a division of the College of Health. Presently, she is an Associate Professor teaching advanced health assessment, diagnostic clinical reasoning, and clinical courses in the graduate FNP program.
