Biography

Dr. Lila F. Roberts currently serves as Professor of Mathematics and Dean of the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences at Clayton State University in Morrow, GA. Dr. Roberts has taught mathematics at the high school and collegiate level for more than 30 years and has served in higher education leadership positions for over 15 years. She established the first CIMS industry advisory board and has been successful in supporting the development of innovative partnerships, such as the Launchpad Academy in collaboration with MailChimp, in the Atlanta area. Over her career, she has been recognized for excellence in teaching and for innovations in the use of technologies for teaching and learning mathematics. She is a Program Chair and serves on the Executive Steering Committee for the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics, the largest international conference in the United States focused on using technology in teaching college level mathematics. Always a “first adopter” of new technologies, she has a passion for experimentation and exploration of technologies for teaching.
