Education

Teaching Interest

My teaching interests are shaped by my years of clinical practice as a family nurse practitioner, hospital department manager, an independent primary care nurse practitioner, and working in the field of health information technology. While my primary clinical interests are chronic care management and addiction medicine, I am drawn to teach foundational courses in healthcare management in the areas of mental health and case management, medical terminology, health information technology, and healthcare finance. My goal as a professor is to develop lifelong learners and doers--healthcare professionals who not only possess the skills needed to succeed in healthcare management, but who continue to question, grow, and adapt throughout their careers.

Research Interest

Research interests center around addiction medicine, impact of social determinants of health, and digital health.
