Biography

My nursing career started in 1987 when I obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing. I continued my education and received my Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1990. I have been blessed to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner since I graduated with my Master’s degree in Nursing in 1996. In December, 2017, I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Georgia College and State University.

Throughout my nursing career, I have had various learning experiences to continue my path through this ever-changing field of medicine and nursing. I have enjoyed working as a Family Nurse Practitioner primarily in family practice and internal medicine offices both in Kentucky and in Georgia.

My academic career at Clayton State University began in the fall of 2017 and has been a great experience. At CSU, I have had the chance to really delve into the role of an Associate Professor in a full-time faculty position.
