Teaching Interest

Jillian's teaching spans core computer science and information technology courses including operating systems, programming, and beginner and intermediate web development.

Research Interest

Her research focuses on applying discrete wavelet transforms to edge detection using neural networks. Additionally, Jillian maintains an active interest in computer science education, particularly innovative approaches to teaching programming and software engineering practices. She is interested in methods that bridge the gap between theoretical computer science concepts and their practical implementation in both research and educational contexts.
