Biography

Dr. Jere Boudell is the Associate Dean of the College of STEM and Professor of Biology. A plant ecologist, she teaches plant biology and ecology courses while researching how urbanization and elevated CO₂ impact riparian plant communities, with a focus on seed germination and community dynamics. As a technologist, she bridges ecology and technology by applying artificial intelligence to research and education, leading AI and app development workshops, and organizing EcoHackathons to foster cross-disciplinary innovation. She is also deeply committed to advancing AI literacy and empowering the next generation of scientists and innovators.
