Biography

Denise Allen J.D. Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies. Professor Allen is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)and a Juris Doctor (J.D.). Professor Allen has practiced law for more than 25 (twenty five) years and is licensed in the States of Florida and Georgia. Professor Allen litigates in the areas of Family Law, Tort Law and Criminal Law. Her law practice focuses on the area of Family Law. She has volunteered as a Mock Trial Evaluator and Mock trial co-coach at the high school and college level and currently serves on the Georgia Bar Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession. Professor Allen has also served as a co-presenter and panelist at the Emory Law School and the John Marshall Law School introduction to Professionalism programs. She has been an adjunct professor at Clayton State since 2014 and teaches classes in the following areas: Legal Research and Writing, Business Organizations, Civil Litigation and Family Law. Professor Allen has previously taught as an adjunct professor at the undergraduate level in Jacksonville, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.
