Biography
Briana is an archivist, librarian, professor, & researcher whose work sits at the intersection of archival & records practice, information governance, and information access. She serves as Assistant Professor & Program Director of the Archives and Information Studies graduate program at Clayton State University, where she leads, teaches graduate courses, and is working towards expansion for a School of Information Studies. She served as Lead Archivist & Records Manager at a Federal Agency overseeing agency-wide records disposition schedules, managing teams, and leading compliance with federal records law. She served as an Academic Librarian for digital collections/DAMS. Briana holds an MAS from Clayton State University, an MLIS from the University of South Florida, and is a PhD in Information Studies candidate at Dominican University. She is a Beta Phi Mu Honor Society inductee, a nationally Certified Archivist, and certified grant writer. Her scholarship has appeared in the MLA Newsletter, Antiracist Library & Information Science, and the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science.
