Biography

Alan CaominXie is an Atlanta-based artist, originally from China, and has been working in the US since 1999. Xie holds a BFA in sculpture and an MFA in painting. Currently, Xie is teaching at Clayton State University.<br>Xie’s works have been widely exhibited nationally and internationally. His exhibitions include The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition 2006 at Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery; <i>Electronic Media Painting 2008</i> at Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art in China and solo exhibition <i>Samsara</i> at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia in 2011. <i>Map of Infinitude</i> Solo Exhibition at Savannah College of Art & Design Art Museum 2015, Group exhibition <i>Abstract China</i> at Shanghai Ming Yuan Art Museum 2016, and <i>Of Origins and Belonging</i> at Atlanta High Museum<b>.</b>
